Bloomsburg University Falls in Women's Basketball

NEW HAVEN, CT--The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team lost to Southern Connecticut University, 72-47, on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference matchup. With the win the Owls improve to 12-0, while the Huskies fall to 4-7.
Bloomsburg trailed by 17 at halftime, but rallied to cut the deficit down to 10 points, 54-44, with 5:25 left to play on a layup by Gabe Miskinis (Lewistown/Lewistown). However, Southern Connecticut would close out the game with a 17-3 run to get the easy win.
Babette Noah had 14 points and 17 rebounds for Southern Connecticut, now 12-0 on the season. Bloomsburg's Miskinis led all Huskies with 17 points, scoring 12 of those points in the second half, while Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) added 11 points.
The Huskies, 4-7, are idle till Jan. 7th when they play at California (PA) starting at 1 p.m.
